Raw edge applique quilt pattern featuring Texas silhouettes on beautiful sunset fabrics. 13 full size images to choose from, with easy cutting and piecing instructions. An original design by Janet Coggins of Dogwood Designs, using fusible applique methods.

This Texas Sunsets pattern includes the following silhouettes: Texas outline, cowboy on fence, bluebonnet, prickly pear cactus, Texas star, longhorn, cowboy boot, windmill, rattlesnake, the Alamo, armadillo, pump jack, and howling wolf/coyote. Customize your quilt by picking your favorites!

The included silhouettes could also be used for pillows, tote bags, smaller wall hangings, or enlarged as the center of a quilt. There are tons of fun possibilities!

This pattern is a beginner pattern but assumes that the quilter has basic piecing and quilting knowledge.


SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Black Cotton: 2 ¾ yards (border, binding, sashing, and silhouettes)
Sunset Fabrics: Twelve 12” squares of sunset colored/themed fabric
Corner Stones: Use one or more scraps of sunset fabrics
Backing: 3 yards (allows for 4” overhang all around)
Fusible Web: 1 ¾ yards of a 17”-18” product (use “Heat n Bond Lite” of similar product with paper on one side only)
